Award Criteria
The Hammer Strength High School Football Player of the Year Award serves to honor one player who is not defined by size or speed but rather the drive, determination, and uncommon commitment it takes to become a fierce competitor.
- Strong Work Ethic: exhibits dedication to the sport and a commitment to training
- Outstanding Leadership: sets examples for teammates, takes charge on the field and boosts team morale
- Consistency of Effort: gives 110%, productive on the field
- High Academic Standing: achieves excellence in the classroom
To nominate your player for the award:
To nominate your player, click on the link below to complete the online nomination form. You will be asked to submit a 500-word description of the qualities and achievements of your exceptional student-athlete. Be sure to include examples of your athlete's work ethic, leadership, consistency and academic accomplishments.
- The deadline for receiving your nomination is November 7, 2008.
- The winner will be announced in January 2009.
- The winner will be selected by Hammer Strength and American Football Monthly.

Nominations must be received by 11:59 P.M. (C.S.T) on November 7, 2008. By entering, all participants agree to be bound by the official rules. Prize winner will be selected on or about January 1, 2009, from the eligible entries received. Winner will be selected by Hammer Strength and American Football Monthly. Winner will be notified by mail or phone. Prizes will be delivered to verified winner. The decision of the judge(s) is final.
